A journey into interior design through the essence of Sóller: designs that reflect our roots.

Sollerics, today I feel fortunate to be able to share with all of you a bit of my passion for interior design and how to reflect the essence of our town in our houses, which are getting smaller and smaller. In this way we have to think well what we put in each space, in order to make the most of it and feel that the furniture helps us to gain space and order in our cherished homes. At the same time complicated to maintain.

I am a local interior designer, and my goal is to bring a bit of the magic of Sóller to every corner of our most intimate spaces within our own home, thus creating a cozy and special atmosphere that makes us feel at home.

Sóller is our paradise on the island of Mallorca, a place full of history, traditions and natural beauty, sea and mountains. Each street tells a story and each historical building reminds us that we have a past. So, why don’t we transport this richness to our home through interior design?

With my projects I find inspiration in the typical architecture of Sóller, with its stone façades, wooden beamed ceilings and interior walls full of plants and flowers. These autochthonous elements can be incorporated into the decoration, creating a fusion of styles that pay homage to our roots and, at the same time, introduce modern and functional elements.

Colors can also play an essential role in design. We can be inspired by the natural tones that surround us and that change with each season: the tans in spring, the green of summer, the warm tones of late afternoon and the soft grays of winter. Integrating these tones in the design provides harmony and connection with the surrounding environment.

Local elements are also a treasure, from water cracks to local crafts, such as ceramics and fabrics. All these details can be elegantly integrated into the interior spaces, thus adding authentic elements and a sense of permanence to our community.

Finally, we cannot forget the magnificent natural light that bathes our streets, light that we can also take advantage of for our home. Opening the windows to allow the natural sunlight to fill the space will create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reminds us of the good fortune we have to live in Sóller, each open window is like a frame.
In conclusion, interior design is much more than an aesthetic question; it can be a way to honor our roots and show the world our identity as a community, therefore, it is a privilege to be able to share my ideas with all of you through this medium, and I hope that these words awaken in all of you the desire to bring a little more of Sóller to your home.
