Storage solutions for tricky spaces: how to make the most of every corner of your home

In Mallorca —especially in areas like Sóller or the Serra de Tramuntana— it’s common to find homes with sloped ceilings, uneven walls or awkward corners. But far from being a problem, these spaces are an opportunity to create bespoke wardrobes that use every centimetre and keep everything tidy in a practical, beautiful way.

In my studio, I design and build furniture that adapts perfectly to the space and to your lifestyle. Here are some of the solutions that work best:

1. Sloped ceilings

Perfect for turning unused areas into functional storage.
We design furniture that follows the angle, combining low drawers and custom doors so everything stays integrated and light.

2. Narrow hallways

A great solution when space is limited.
We create shallow wardrobes with smooth or sliding fronts so they don’t take up passage space. Ideal for linens, shoes or cleaning products.

3. Under the stairs

One of the areas with the most potential.
Pull-out drawers, doors adapted to the shape of the staircase, or even pantry or sports-equipment modules. All fully made to measure.

4. Columns and uneven walls

Very common in older homes on the island.
We design furniture that “embraces” or integrates the column, creating a harmonious and practical result.

5. Dead corners

Triangles, odd angles or leftover gaps can become shelves, small cupboards or perfect everyday storage areas.

6. Small bedrooms

Here every choice matters:
Sliding doors, optimized interiors and wardrobes up to the ceiling to make the most of the height.
